### Iranian Ministry of Defense: We Renew the Pledge and Allegiance through Massive Participation in the Funeral of Imam Khamenei

In a statement issued on Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Iranian Ministry of Defense affirmed that the martyrdom of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei has plunged the hearts of believers and his supporters in Iran and across the world into sadness and grief. The statement noted that the enemies had falsely imagined that the absence of the martyred Imam would cause a disruption in the bright path of the Revolution, but they have seen that his legacy was one of trust in the people, entrusting matters to them, and empowering them to progress.

The Iranian Ministry of Defense emphasized that “the extensive and massive participation of the Iranian people in the funeral ceremonies for the pure body of the nation’s great leader represents the fruit of the mutual trust between him and his people. It will prove once again to the world the soundness of his strategic vision, and that the secret of victory lies in relying on the people.” The statement further pointed out that this participation will serve as a renewal of the pledge and allegiance at the level of the Islamic *Ummah* and the free people of the world, and as a symbol of the nation’s steadfastness in the face of the enemies’ conspiracies.

In concluding its statement, the Iranian Ministry of Defense called upon all the people of Iran to participate as extensively as possible in the funeral ceremonies for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Leader of the Revolution. It announced the mobilization of all its service and logistical capabilities to ensure the success of the ceremonies and renewed the pledge of allegiance to Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei to continue the path of the Islamic Revolution.
