The blessed bodies of 52 martyrs from the towns of Kefraya and al-Foua who embraced martyrdom in a terrorist bombing in al-Rashidin area west of Aleppo were laid to rest on Wednesday in the town of al-Sayyeda Zainab in Damascus Countryside.
Upon the bodies’ arrival from Aleppo, mourners escorted them in a solemn procession to the resting place of al-Sayyeda Zainab area where noon’s prayers were performed, and then they were laid to rest in the town’s cemetery.
The coffins were covered by the Syrian flag as participators from the various national segments granted the scene its patriotic beauty, and the tears of the children and the mothers struck the hearts of the crowds
Damascus Countryside Governor Ala’a Ibrahim, who was one of the official and popular figures attending in the ceremonies, vowed to the souls of the martyrs that Syrians will remain steadfast until victory over terrorism is achieved.
Likewise, Quneitra Governor Ahmad Sheikh Abdelqader decried the international silence over the crime that claimed the lives of these martyrs, while Greek Orhodox Patriarchal Assistant Bishop Luca al-Khouri prayed for the souls of Syria’s martyrs and affirmed that Syria will emerge victorious.
The bodies of 51 of the people of Kefraya and al-Foua’a who had also been killed in the terrorist bombing in al-Rashidin were laid to rest on Tuesday in Aleppo city.
