My sister… beware of so-called “admiration,” or what is sometimes called that, for certain immoral, corrupt, or ungodly individuals… among dancers, singers, and what are called “artists.” Whoever loves such people will be raised with them [on the Day of Judgment]… May God protect you from them in this world and the Hereafter.
Allah Almighty says: “Say, each one acts according to his own nature, and your Lord knows best who is guided on the right path.” (Surah Al-Isra, 17:84). And Allah, your Lord, says: “Evil women are for evil men, and evil men are for evil women; and good women are for good men, and good men are for good women.” (Surah An-Nur, 24:26).
Our master Ali (peace be upon him) said: “Beware of loving the enemies of God, or showing affection to anyone other than God’s friends, for whoever loves a people will be raised with them.” So how could you, my sister, admire those who corrupt the earth, openly commit sins, even call for them, and defend them?
How can you defy God Almighty by putting pictures of these pseudo-humans on your book cover, notebook, or even in your bedroom? Doesn’t modesty or shame prevent you from doing that?!
Are you afraid of people, when God is more worthy of your fear? He says:
“Have you not seen those who took a people [as allies] on whom Allah’s wrath has come? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to lies knowingly. Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. They are evil in what they do. They have taken their oaths as a shield and turned people away from Allah’s path, so they will have a humiliating punishment. Their wealth and children will not avail them against Allah in the least. They are the companions of the Fire, in which they will abide. On the Day Allah will resurrect them all, they will swear to Him as they swear to you, thinking they are upon something. No! They are the liars. Satan has dominated them, making them forget Allah’s remembrance. They are the party of Satan. Indeed, the party of Satan—they are the losers. Those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, they are the lowest. Allah has decreed: I and My messengers will surely prevail. Allah is mighty, exalted.” (Surah Al-Mujadila, 14–22).
Does the ambition of a sincere, believing Muslim woman end with a singer or a dancer?
I fear for you, my sister, the day you say: “Oh, would that I were dust.” (Surah An-Naba, 78:40).
