A high-ranking Omani official has praised Iran’s prominent role in the evolution of jurisprudential issues.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 13th Meeting of Development of Jurisprudential Sciences in the Omani capital Muscat on Sunday, Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah said Iran’s involvement in ideological and religious affairs is necessary, IRNA reported.
He also referred to the active presence of Iranian religious figures and scholars in the event, and underlined that the lectures delivered and the jurisprudential issues raised by Iranian participants were of paramount importance.
The 13th Meeting of Development of Jurisprudential Sciences, titled ‘Impact of Islamic Jurisprudence on Human Communities,’ opened in Muscat on Sunday.
Sixty-eight delegates from different countries are present at the meeting. The Iranian delegation is headed by the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thoughts, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.
Reforms, equity jurisprudence, jurisprudence of justice, jurisprudence of human rights in international charters, Islamic jurisprudence and comparative study of Islamic jurisprudence are among the topics to be discussed during the event.
