**Russian Orthodox Church Priest: The Martyrdom of Imam Khamenei Has Increased Iran’s Strength**

In an interview with the IRNA news agency, Father Gregory Matrosov, a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church, affirmed that the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified) has made Iran stronger, noting that it will become even more powerful than ever before.
IRNA reported that Father Gregory Matrosov, who represents the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, was among the guests who attended the funeral procession of the martyr leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Responding to a question about the martyr leader’s character and why the United States and the Zionist entity sought to assassinate him, Father Matrosov said: “If I were to describe the Iranian martyr leader Khamenei to my people, I would say he was a person who spent his entire life in the path of God, and then in the service of the Iranian people. He continued on this path until he sacrificed his life; therefore, the entire life of Ayatollah Khamenei was devoted to giving and sacrifice for the sake of God and for the people.”
He added, “I believe that America and the Zionist entity assassinated the late leader because they believed that removing him would clear the way for them to control Iran, but this was a miscalculation. In my opinion, the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei has made Iran more powerful, and after this event, it will be stronger than it was before.”
He pointed out that the United States and “Israel” were under the delusion that assassinating the leader of the Islamic Revolution would enable them to overcome Iran, but the result was the opposite of what they had expected, confirming that his martyrdom has bolstered Iran’s strength.
