Sheikh Qassem’s speech at the public gathering coinciding with the funeral of the martyred Imam Khamenei

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of all creation, our Prophet Muhammad, upon his pure and immaculate Progeny, and upon his righteous and chosen companions, until the Day of Judgment. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
We gather on the occasion of the funeral procession of the Imam, the Grand Ayatollah, the Martyred Leader Khamenei—may his secret be sanctified. Rise for the sake of Allah, for this funeral procession is an uprising, a movement, and a revolution. The Almighty says: *’And those who believed in Allah and His messengers – those are the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light.’* (Quran 57:19).
We are bidding farewell to the Imam of the oppressed, who attained martyrdom along with a group of his family members. We offer our condolences to the Master of the Time—may Allah hasten his noble reappearance—to his honorable family, and to all those who love him, on his martyrdom, the martyrdom of his family, and the martyrdom of all those in the Islamic Republic of Iran—leaders, people, and officials—who sacrificed themselves to draw closer to Allah Almighty. We congratulate the Islamic Ummah and the world on this supreme honor that illuminates the path of humanity, a martyrdom that elevates status and begins its bestowals for generations to come.
To the soul of the Martyred Imam and Leader, to all those who were martyred with him, and to all the martyrs who followed this path, we dedicate the reward of the blessed Surah Al-Fatiha, accompanied by prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
Imam Khamenei—may his secret be sanctified—was the unique figure of his era, an exceptional contemporary leader with few equals in history. He was the Guardian of the Ummah and the deputy of the Absent Infallible Imam, Imam Mahdi—may Allah hasten his noble reappearance. He was the jurist (Faqih) possessing all the qualifications of Guardianship (Wilayah) and religious authority (Marja’iyyah); he was the Supreme Marja’ and the Grand Ayatollah. He was the possessor of strategic vision in various fields and the architect of the foundations of contemporary Islamic civilization. He was the guide, the shepherd, and the educator. He was the leader in the sea of people, steering them toward liberation from the idols of materialism. He was the role model who taught through his conduct, the creative thinker who forged the direction, and the erudite politician who grasped the dimensions of matters on a global scale. He was the man who stood steadfast with all courage, determination, dignity, and reliance on Allah Almighty: *'[They are] those who convey the messages of Allah and fear Him and do not fear anyone but Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.’* (Quran 33:39).”
