In a ceremony marked by a large public and official presence, Hezbollah and the Resistance supporters bid farewell to the great jihadist leader, Mr. Haytham Ali Al-Tabtabai (Abu Ali), and his martyr comrades who fell due to the treacherous Israeli airstrike targeting them in the southern suburb of Beirut.

During the funeral ceremony in the southern suburb of Beirut, the Head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, Sheikh Ali Dhamoush, delivered a speech in which he began by emphasizing that “standing before the martyrs’ coffins is a moment of pride and honor.” He considered that Mr. Al-Tabtabai and his comrades came from “noble, resistant families, rich in giving and sacrifice.”

Sheikh Dhamoush stated that Martyr Abu Ali “was a courageous leader, a lover of jihad and resistance, moving from one battlefield to another, never leaving the frontlines of battle for over 35 years.” He added that Mr. Al-Tabtabai “led many combat fronts against the occupation, was one of the architects of the liberation in 2000, a hero of the Ghajar operation in 2006, and a key figure in the divine victory of July 2006.”

Sheikh Dhamoush also said: “Mr. Abu Ali was present wherever he was needed because he dedicated his life to the resistance. He faced death with death, and he never tired of carrying arms in the face of aggression.” He emphasized that “he was one of the prominent jihadist leaders who managed the Battle of Ahl al-Bass with great courage and skill.”

He stressed that the “Israeli” enemy “assassinated Abu Ali to undermine the will and determination of the resistance, but this goal will not be achieved.” He explained that the resistance “is a group that belongs to a faith-based doctrine, a national identity, and a rich history of struggle, and it will not retreat in the face of sacrifices.”

He further confirmed that the martyr Al-Tabtabai “had always longed to join the martyrs who went before him,” and that his blood, as well as the blood of his comrades, “will increase the resistance’s resilience and steadfastness in the face of aggression. The martyrdom of leader Abu Ali will not push the resistance back or deter it from continuing what the martyr leader began, and it will never drive us to surrender. Rather, the blood of the martyrs will increase our determination, will, and commitment to the correctness of our decision because we are followers of Imam Hussein (PBUH).”

He explained that the martyrdom of Commander Abu Ali will not push the resistance back or deter it from continuing the path the martyr leader began, and it will never drive the resistance to surrender. He affirmed that the resistance has individuals who can take on any responsibilities, regardless of the sacrifices required.

Sheikh Dhamoush also viewed that “it is the state’s duty to protect its citizens and its sovereignty, and the government should formulate plans for this and reject external dictates and pressures.” He stressed that all the concessions made by the government thus far have been fruitless and have led to no result. “We are not concerned with any proposals as long as the enemy does not abide by the ceasefire agreement.”

In the conclusion of his speech, Sheikh Dhamoush addressed the enemy: “The Zionists should remain anxious because they have made a grave mistake. I pledge to the martyrs that we will continue the path they started and remain on the battlefield.
