UEFA Nations League: France 1-0 Portugal

In the UEFA Nations League, France have booked their place in the final four after securing a 1-nil victory against the defending champions, Portugal, in Lisbon.

The two teams came into match tied on 10 points at the top of Group A-3.

The French, were the better side of the first half, but could not find the net. However, the 2018 World Cup winners, managed to break the deadlock before the hour mark, when Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante, tapped the ball home from close range, after the Portuguese keeper had parried Adrien Rabiot shot.

France will next meet bottom side Sweden on Monday, while Portugal will take on Croatia.
