That is: Does God Almighty, by virtue of His encompassing knowledge—*{And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein}*—and His complete awareness of the trajectories of human movement in the struggle between obeying the Lord or obeying the self and desires, map out paths of guidance for people? Does He select specific individuals through whom the foundations of deviation are dismantled whenever human society strays from the righteous path? Or did God Almighty create creation, clarify what He requires of them, and leave them to act—either by obeying Him or disobeying Him—until they return to Him?
