**The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, emphasized that future negotiations do not imply acceptance of the enemy’s viewpoint.**
In a message addressed to the Iranian people regarding the Iran-US memorandum of understanding, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated:
*In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful*
O honorable and loyal people of Iran,
As you have been informed, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Presidents of Iran and the United States. In the path to reaching this stage, the relevant officials have made significant efforts, motivated by diligence and good faith. It was the American President who, driven by helplessness and necessity, resorted to utilizing various pressure tactics to achieve this end.
In principle, I held a different view; however, based on the pledge made by the respected President—in his capacity as the head of the Supreme National Security Council, on behalf of himself and other members—regarding the safeguarding of the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front, and his explicit acceptance of responsibility for this, I have agreed to this measure. They have also declared that if the American side seeks to overreach in its demands, they will not accept it.
From this moment forward, we—that is, you, the dear people, and this humble servant—shall await the fulfillment of the aforementioned conditions. However, it is self-evident that future negotiations do not signify the acceptance of the enemy’s viewpoint. We hope that the prayers of our Master, the Sahib al-Zaman (may God Almighty hasten his reappearance), will bring forth various forms of victory and triumph for the noble Iranian people.
