The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed Yemen’s continuous readiness to confront any escalation or developments that the American or “Israeli” enemy might undertake in the region. He stressed that the Yemeni position is firm in supporting the causes of the *Ummah* (the Islamic nation) and in standing alongside the Axis of Jihad and Resistance in the face of projects of hegemony and targeting.
In a statement on the occasion of the New Hijri Year 1448 AH, Sayyed al-Houthi warned against any American or “Israeli” attempts to isolate the Gaza Strip again or to target any arena of the Resistance Axis. He confirmed that Yemen will remain present and ready to deal with the various developments and challenges that the next stage might witness.
He called on the peoples of the Islamic *Ummah* and its vibrant forces to join the Axis of Jihad and Resistance and to liberate themselves from the state of dependence and submission to the enemies of Islam, considering that the facts and events have proven the reality of the projects that target the *Ummah* and seek to keep it in a circle of weakness and subservience.
On the Yemeni issue, Sayyed al-Houthi called for strengthening cooperation and solidarity at both the official and popular levels to confront the challenges and dangers resulting from what he described as the comprehensive hostile targeting of Yemen.
He pointed to the continued occupation of large parts of Yemeni territory, the control over national wealth such as oil and gas, as well as the continuous violations of Yemeni sovereignty, and the blockade and economic war imposed on the Yemeni people.
He pointed out that the pressures, blockade, and security and economic targeting to which Yemen is subjected fall within an aggressive project overseen by the United States and participated in by regional parties, with the aim of weakening Yemen and preventing it from possessing its independent decision-making. He emphasized that confronting these challenges requires unifying national efforts and working to end the occupation and the blockade and to restore full rights and national sovereignty.
The leader of Ansar Allah reiterated the firmness of Yemen’s position in confronting “Israel” and the United States, as the Zionist project targets the entire Islamic *Ummah*—from Palestine to Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen—and seeks to control its sanctities, homelands, and wealth, and to erase its civilizational and religious identity.
He affirmed that the responsibility placed on the shoulders of Muslims necessitates confronting Zionist tyranny and facing the dangers it poses to the region and the Islamic world, stressing adherence to the principle of the “unity of arenas” and the brotherhood of Jihad and Resistance as strategic choices in facing common challenges.
He also called for serious work to achieve a comprehensive Islamic revival based on adherence to the Holy Quran, following the example of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his progeny), and adopting the causes of strength and civilizational building. He confirmed that the *Ummah* is capable of restoring its role and status if it holds onto its identity and values and benefits from the lessons of Islamic history.
Sayyed al-Houthi viewed the beginning of the New Hijri Year as an important station for review, assessment, and responsible practical action, calling for investing time and resources in what serves the major causes of the *Ummah* and strengthens its ability to confront challenges and dangers.
He pointed out that the Yemeni people, the people of faith and wisdom, have proven over the past years their ability to remain steadfast and firm in the face of challenges and conspiracies, and they are qualified to continue carrying the banner of Islam and confronting the projects of arrogance (*Isti’kbar*) and hegemony led by the United States and “Israel.”
In concluding his statement, Sayyed al-Houthi extended his congratulations to the Yemeni people, the stationed *Mujahideen*, and the Islamic *Ummah* on the occasion of the New Hijri Year. He also congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership, and its people on the great victory achieved in confronting the United States and “Israel,” stressing that this achievement represents an important milestone in the path of confronting the forces of arrogance and strengthening the position of the resistance forces in the region.
