**[The Reward of Saying “In the Name of Allah” When Entering the Restroom]**
My father (may Allah have mercy on him) said: ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim narrated to me from his father, from al‑Nawfali, from al‑Sakuni, from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad, from his father, from his forefathers (peace be upon them), who said:
The Commander of the Faithful (‘Ali, peace be upon him) said:
When one of you uncovers himself to urinate or for anything else, he should say, *“In the Name of Allah (Bismillah),”* for indeed Satan lowers his gaze until he finishes.

**[The Reward of Mentioning the Name of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, During Ablution]**
Ja‘far ibn Muhammad ibn Masrur narrated to me. He said: al‑Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Amir narrated to me from his uncle ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amir, from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il, from ‘Ali ibn al‑Hakam, from Dawud al‑‘Ijli, from Abu Basir, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said:
Whoever performs ablution (wudu) and mentions the Name of Allah, his entire body is purified; and one ablution to the next serves as expiation for the sins committed between them. But whoever does not mention the Name of Allah, nothing of his body is purified except what the water touches.
Muhammad ibn al‑Hasan al‑Saffar narrated to me from Mu‘awiyah ibn Hakim, from ‘Abdullah ibn al‑Mughirah, from ‘Abdullah ibn Miskan, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said:
Whoever mentions Allah during his ablution, it is as though he has performed a full ritual bath (ghusl).
