Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized that the Arba’een pilgrimage is not merely a seasonal ritual, but a guarantee for the continuation of the Ashura uprising and the immortality of its message in the conscience of history, by connecting the hearts of believers to the love of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and its inextinguishable fervor of faith.
Hawzah News Agency – In his book Kauthar al-Arba’een (pp. 177-178), the religious authority Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli affirmed that the continuity of the Ashura uprising throughout history is its most significant impact, or rather the philosophy behind the Arba’een pilgrimage. He pointed out that the immortality of this event is achieved by binding the hearts of believers to the love of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and its fervor of faith.
He explained that Divine Will has ordained for this event to remain eternal, and that this could only be achieved by strengthening the bonds of Husseini love within the souls of the believers. He cited the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family): “Indeed, there is in the martyrdom of Hussain a fervor in the hearts of the believers that never cools.” (Jami’ Ahadith al-Shi’a, Vol. 12, p. 556).
