The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the two martyrs, Issa Arafat Ismail Awad (19) and Reda Sami Hassan Awad (15), who were killed by “Israeli” occupation forces in the Hebron Governorate in the southern occupied West Bank.
In a statement today, Monday, June 22, 2026, the movement affirmed that the occupation forces’ continued targeting of the Palestinian people, especially teenagers and children, represents an extension of the killing policies adopted by the occupation government and its ongoing attempts to suppress the spirit of resistance.
Hamas emphasized that the policy of systematic killing and intimidation will not succeed in achieving its goals, asserting that it will only increase the Palestinian people’s adherence to their rights and their determination to stand firm and confront the ongoing “Israeli” attacks.
The movement called on the masses of the Palestinian people in Hebron and across the occupied West Bank to mobilize, rally, and escalate all forms of resistance, and to confront the attacks of Zionist settlers and occupation forces in areas of confrontation and friction, in defense of the land and holy sites.
The occupation forces had opened fire on the young man, Issa Arafat Ismail Awad (19), and the child, Reda Sami Hassan Awad (15), at dawn today, Monday, near the “Karmei Tzur” settlement, which is built on private Palestinian land north of the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, leading to their martyrdom.
