Yesterday, Hujjat al-Islam Hussaini Qazwini, founder of Velayat TV, addressing a group of scholars going for propagation in the days of Fatimiyyah, spoke about the spread of Wahabiism.
He stated: “The wide spread propagation which is being created by the enemies of the Ahlulbayt (a) and Wahabiism against the Shia has reached such a nonsensical level, that they even claim the Shia creed was founded from the principles of Judaism, and that it was introduced for the destruction of Islam.”
The respected scholar revived the memory of Shaheed Mutahhari, one of the greatest thinkers is contemporary Shia history by stating the vision he had in regards to the doubts spread about Shia Islam.
He said: “Shaheed Mutahhari had stated that in the near future the Shia will sweep across all borders, the call of the school of the Ahlulbayt (a) will reach all the people of the world and the flood of doubts about the Shia will be quietened down.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qazwini mentioned a tradition from the Ahlulbayt (a) regarding those who work in this cause. He recalled “Imam Sadiq (a) stated that if someone is active in answering doubts then he is more valuable than a million soldiers.”
He explained this further: “Using logic and convincing arguments the scholars need to string up the arguments of the enemy, and if someone does carry out this responsibility, God Almighty will give him more capital than the capital of the whole world put together for every word he says in defence of the Shia religion.”
In highlighting the importance of differentiating between Wahabis from the Sunni, Hujjat al-Islam Qazwini pointed towards a saying of Ayatolah Syed Sistani. “He states ‘do not say the Sunni are our brothers, rather say they are our dear ones’, therefore, today giving respect to the Ahl al-Sunnah is one of the biggest obligations and this is because all the efforts of the enemy are bent towards creating disunity between the Shia and the Sunni.”
Hujjat al-Islam Hussaini Qazwini ended by highlighting the need to exercise caution when addressing differences in ideology, he concluded: “They try to create discord between the Shia and Sunni in Iran, it is because of this that we should, at all costs, avoid any types of language that would lead to more differences being created.”
