**[The Reward of Praising Allah with What He Praised Himself]**
My father (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sa‘d ibn ‘Abdullah narrated to me from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ibn Faddalah, from ‘Abdullah ibn Bukayr, from Zurārah ibn A‘yan, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said:
Indeed, Allah glorifies Himself three times every day and night. Whoever glorifies Allah with that by which He glorifies Himself, and if he is in a state of misery, he will be transformed into happiness.
I (Zurārah) said to him: How is that glorification?
He said: You should say:
Allah, there is no god but You, Lord of the worlds.
You are Allah; there is no god but You.
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the Most High, the Most Great.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, Master of the Day of Judgment.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the Mighty, the All-Wise.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the Originator of everything, and to You it returns.
You are Allah; there is no god but You; You have always been and will always be.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, Creator of good and evil.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, Creator of Paradise and the Fire.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the One, the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equal.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the Sovereign, the Holy, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Faith, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah above what they associate with Him.
You are Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner; to You belong the Most Beautiful Names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies You, and You are the Mighty, the Wise.
You are Allah; there is no god but You, the Most Great. Majesty is Your cloak.
