News – Middle East: Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister for Expatriate Affairs Abdulwahid Abu Raas has warned the Israeli enemy against continuing its attacks and violations in Lebanon, following the latest strike targeting a Lebanese Army vehicle in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon, which reportedly killed two officers and a soldier.
In a statement on Saturday, Abu Raas described the attack as further evidence that Israel’s aggression targets all segments of the Lebanese people. He argued that concessions and compromises only embolden the Israeli enemy to commit more violations and acts of aggression.
He stressed that policies based on surrender under the banner of direct negotiations would neither guarantee protection nor preserve sovereignty, security, and stability. Abu Raas emphasized that lasting stability in Lebanon remains unattainable as long as Israeli attacks and occupation persist.
Reaffirming Yemen’s support for Lebanon and its resistance movement, Abu Raas expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people in confronting ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
Addressing Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, he questioned whether the targeting of the Lebanese Army was a matter of concern for the Lebanese government, asking: “Are you concerned by the targeting of the Lebanese Army? Is this your war? And are you concerned by a conflict in which the Lebanese Army itself is being targeted?”
He further called on Lebanon’s political leadership to support the country’s army, resistance, and people in confronting their “real enemy,” referring to the Israeli enemy.
Despite the so-called ceasefire, Israeli aggression continues unabated. The enemy’s forces persist in bombing villages and towns across southern Lebanon, systematically destroying homes, public facilities, and civilian infrastructure.
Recent Israeli strikes have killed and injured several Lebanese civilians. The occupation army has also issued forced displacement orders targeting residents of three towns in the Sidon and Nabatiyeh areas.
The war has claimed at least 3,526 lives since March 2, according to the latest figures released by Lebanon’s Health Ministry on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continue to suffer mounting casualties and equipment losses in southern Lebanon, as Hezbollah maintains its steadfast resistance in solidarity with Gaza and the broader regional struggle against Zionist expansionism.
