Senior Lebanese Shia cleric and Ja’fari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, has declared that Lebanon takes pride in its eternal bond with the Islamic Republic of Iran, hailing the legendary steadfastness of the resistance against the Israeli regime.
Hawzah News Agency– In a statement released on Wednesday, Sheikh Qabalan stressed that any ceasefire or path leading to a resolution, and whatever is required to establish a new balance of power, stems from two principal factors: the legendary steadfastness of the resistance and Iran’s serious threat to enter the war against the terrorist Israeli entity.
The prominent cleric noted that Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, through this equation, built a mountain of resilience that shielded the Lebanese government and its historic principles from the cheap gambling of the ruling political class.
Southern Front: Dozens of Israeli Tanks, Armored Vehicles Destroyed
Sheikh Qabalan stated that the current scene, in all its dimensions, places Lebanon at the heart of legendary battlefields where the resistance has fought over the past three months along the frontline—a strip four to eight kilometers wide from the southern borders. In this zone, he said, dozens of tanks, armored vehicles, and other military hardware belonging to the terrorist Israeli regime were destroyed, crushed, and set ablaze. He added that the coming days will expose the true scale of thousands of casualties among officers and soldiers of the Zionist army.
‘We Take Pride in Our Eternal Relations with Iran’
The Jafari Mufti underscored that the resistance is proving to the entire world that it is a legendary national fighting force, an exceptional regional power, and a central component of the region’s power structure and its emerging order.
“We take pride in our eternal relations with Iran, for Iran is the country that came to Lebanon’s aid when both near and far betrayed Lebanon and its sovereign resistance,” Sheikh Qabalan declared. He specifically condemned those who insisted on separating Lebanon’s path from Iran’s negotiations, seeking to turn the country into a free gift for Tel Aviv’s butcher, Netanyahu.
Ruling Class Betrayed the Nation, Abandoned Border Fronts
Launching a scathing critique of Lebanon’s ruling political class, Sheikh Qabalan said: “There is no day more humiliating and desperate for this ruling authority than today—an authority that abandoned the country, its people, and its fateful border fronts.”
He emphasized that the ceasefire formula, whenever realized, represents the greatest victory for the resistance and national Lebanon, and the greatest defeat for Israel and any government that betrayed its country and people, becoming a tool in the service of Washington and its regional garrison, Tel Aviv.
‘Era of American-Zionist Agendas Is Over Forever’
Sheikh Qabalan asserted that the era of American-Zionist lists has ended forever, and the project to “Zionize” Lebanon has collapsed with the failure of this global war against a resistant Lebanon with a national doctrine.
“Our goal is a sovereign, dignified Lebanon with peaceful coexistence, far removed from Americanization projects and the malignant corridors of Zionism,” he stated. “The one that fought, stood firm, and destroyed the arsenal of the terrorist Israeli regime is the resistance, which shall remain the eternal guardian of Lebanon’s sovereign borders.”
Lebanese Army Welcomed on Borders Based on Confrontation with Israel
The senior Shia cleric expressed support for the Lebanese army’s role along the sovereign borders, provided it is based on confronting the Israeli regime. “We welcome the role of the Lebanese army on sovereign borders based on confrontation with Israel,” he said, while warning, “We will confront any role by any party that serves the terrorist Israeli entity.”
He declared that the era of “national taqiyya” is over and that those who had wagered on eliminating the resistance have been left disappointed. “We will no longer accept any settlement at the expense of the resistance, its people, and their national sacrifices.”
Amal and Hezbollah: One Spirit in Two Bodies
Addressing the people of southern Lebanon, Dahieh, and the Bekaa, Sheikh Qabalan said: “Nothing is greater than the sacrifices of the resistance, and nothing is more immense than your courage. You will return to the most honorable land, and we will not allow any authority to bargain over Lebanon’s sovereignty and the capabilities of the resistance.”
He concluded by stressing that the Amal Movement and Hezbollah are “one spirit in two bodies and one single resistance,” adding that the foundational transformations of the international system and the dawn of a multipolar world have been shaped by the hands of Tehran and the Lebanese resistance. “Tomorrow will be another day, built on national partnership and Lebanese sovereignty,” he said.
