Al-Kadhimi’s suspicious steps towards Riyadh | Iraq will not join compromising regimes

The head of the al-Nujaba Political Council criticized the Iraqi government’s non-transparent interaction with the Saudi regime, stating that the values that govern its country will not allow the normalization of Baghdad-Tel Aviv relations.

Hawzah News Agency – In an interview with IRNA, the head of the al-Nujaba Political Council criticized the Iraqi government’s non-transparent interaction with the Saudi regime, stating that the values that govern its country will not allow the normalization of Baghdad-Tel Aviv relations.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran, in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Asadi, the head of the political council of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance group, spoke to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and stated that the movement opposes the recent Baghdad-Riyadh agreement.

Referring to the values that govern the thought of the Iraqi people, Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi described the country’s compromise with the Zionist regime as “impossible.”

He also stressed that there are few differences between the Democratic and Republican candidates in the recent presidential election in the United States.

The details of this interview are as follows:

Please comment on the recent agreement between the Saudi regime and the administration of Mustafa al-Kadhimi [the Prime Minister of Iraq] and its drawbacks.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi: We do not accept this agreement for several reasons:

Firstly: We have no sympathy for the Saudi regime because it has brought nothing to Iraq but destruction.

Secondly: Saudi Arabia did not support the political developments in Iraq after the fall of the dictatorial regime.

Thirdly: The Saudi regime has not really done anything positive for Iraq and has only made promises.

Fourthly: The Saudi regime has exported terrorism to our country for the past seventeen years.

Fifthly: The current government is taking vague steps and this raises our doubts about such agreements.Sixthly: The location of this strategic project is in an area that benefits Saudi Arabia, not Iraq.

Seventhly: The agreement wastes Iraq’s strategic groundwater reserves.

And there are several other objections to this agreement.

Some believe that the agreement between Saudi Arabia and the al-Kadhimi administration paves the way for his administration to compromise with the Zionist regime. What is your opinion in this regard? Will Baghdad join the ranks of reactionary Arab compromisers in establishing relations with the Zionist regime?

Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi: Such a will is not unlikely, as the Saudi regime is at the forefront of the project to normalize relations with Israel in the Arab world but it is unlikely that Iraq will join the compromising countries because, in Iraq, there are principles and values that all adherents, whether they are believers in the heavenly religions, secularists or people of any other ideology, adhere to.

The Iraqi people have been raised with the idea of not accepting the Zionist regime and it will not be possible to normalize relations with this generation. Even if this generation is not there, the Zionist regime will not remain on the world map.

How do you currently assess the role of the Saudi regime in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon?

Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi: Their role is negative and they seek to achieve the goals of the Zionists and the United States in the region in order to force the free nations to submit to the will of the arrogant powers of the world but with the help of God and the wisdom of Ayatollah Khamenei they will not achieve their goals.

The results of the election in the United States show that Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States. Do you think there is a difference between [Donald] Trump and Biden and will American crimes against Muslims in West Asia be reduced?

Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi: We do not see a major difference between these people because everyone acts according to the approach of the Zionist lobby in the United States. Of course, we do believe that there are some differences regarding their performance.
