His Eminence said in his sermon following the Eid al-Fitr prayers in Tehran, “The Satanic powers are always plotting against the Iranian people because they are worried about their resistance, authority and independence, but they will always be defeated”.

“US President [Donald Trump] announced that they have spent seven trillion dollars in the West Asia and gained nothing; that means that the US has been defeated and the Great Satan with all that temptations and pomp has not been able to reach its goals,” Imam Khamenei added.

He said that the enemy’s today’s conspiracy is using economic pressure against the people of Iran to discourage and exhaust them; people and the authorities should try against that.

The Leader further said that the participation of people in the Quds Day rallies shows that Iranians are more alert and motivated than before and not exhausted at all.

“The ones who follow the enemy and say that the people of Iran are exhausted are de facto tired themselves,” said Imam Khamenei.

He said the people of Iran partook in the Quds Day rallies on a sweltering day while fasting and after a night of vigil.

Referring to the Holy Quds International Day rallies in other countries, he said that the rallies in other countries were also held better than before, which means “despite the enemy’s propaganda, the intimacy between other Muslim countries and Iran has developed”.

His Eminence also urged to the Iranian people to have more unity against the enemies.
