Iran to Mark Int’l Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People

Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mansour Gholami, Palestinian Ambassador to Iran Salah al-Zawawi, and Secretary General of Iranian National Commission for UNESCO Hojatollah Ayoubi will be among the speakers at the event.

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is a UN-organized observance.

Every year events are held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, as well as at the United Nations offices at Geneva and Vienna and in countries around the world on the occasion.

In 1977, the UN General Assembly called for the annual observance of November 29 as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (resolution 32/40 B).
