Ayatollah Jafar Subhani, in the ‘Nation of Islam’ conference, spoke about the importance of unity and how the lack of it has led to the problems we see today.
His eminence stated: “There are a lot of similarities that exists between Muslims, however, unfortunately what can be seen today is that the only place the wars are taking place are Islam lands and the non-Islamic lands are free from it.”
The Ayatollah explained the objective and the method of the enemy in today’s world: “Today the enemy has held itself back from creating divisions among themselves and they have guided war into the Middle East and the Islamic countries. They are after preventing the Muslims from progressing and they are after implementation of their own secular ideals.”
“It is necessary for the Islamic scholars and personalities to sit with each other think of a way out.”
Expressing the frustration of having Palestine still occupied and the turning of attention of the Muslims towards Syria, his eminence stated: “Even after the passing of 60 years since the occupation of Jerusalem, till now there has been no call or conference from the Islamic countries for the freedom of Palestine, this is whilst it is necessary that there should be a call from the Islamic scholars and governments for the freedom of Palestine.“
He continued: “This is when we can see that there are some countries that are releasing statements asking for people to fight against Syria, and this points towards the presence of a foreign hand mixed within the Islamic countries which is promoting the Muslims to fight against Syria, as the only crime Syria has committed is resistance and animosity towards the Zionists.”
“The Muslims should learn from the unity the enemy has in its secular works and they themselves should unite so that they can raise the status of Islam.”
Ayatollah Jafar Subhani finished this segment of his talk by presenting one method of improving the current situation. He concluded: “There are a lot of similarities between the Muslims and Islamic scholars and personalities should prepare the grounds for unity to grow.”
