The representative of the people of Kerman in the Assembly of Experts of the Leadership referred to the strategic warning by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] that the United States should withdraw from the region and stated, “The Supreme Leader relied on the key point in the foreign arena that the United States is the common enemy of the Islamic world, the enemy of independent Iraq and the enemy of Islamic Iran and its enmity with the Islamic world is because Islam.”
Ayatollah Khatami called the presence of Americans the cause of insecurity and various crimes in Islamic countries and said, “The entry of Americans into every region has caused insecurity and evil. Evil seems to lie in the genes of American statesmen. Therefore, the expectation from the Iraqi government is to fulfill the will of the Iraqi people and parliament for the Americans to leave Iraq.”
The temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran pointed to the historical enmity of the Americans toward the Iranian nation and added, “The enmity of the Americans with the people of Iran has been evident since before the Islamic Revolution and their latest crime is the martyrdom of Generals Haj Qasem Soleymani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and other martyrs, which is a sign of American crime and an insult to the Iraqi government and people.”
He called the cowardly martyrdom of General Qasem Soleymani an insult to the Iraqi people and emphasized, “General Haj Qasem Soleymani was a guest of the Iraqi government and people and the Americans brazenly martyred the guest of a government. It’s a clear insult to that government.”
Ayatollah Khatami called Islamic Iran the benevolent brother of the Iraqi people and the expulsion of the United States from the region as the common goal of the Iranian and Iraqi people, “The Iraqi government is expected to know that their benevolent brother is Islamic Iran. Therefore, trust this brother and move towards common goals by trusting this compassionate brother, which is one of the common goals of expelling the Americans from the region.”
