Yesterday, in a religious gathering in Tehran, respected scholar Hujjut al-Islam Panahiyan spoke about the importance of understanding the strength of the enemy from the right perspective. He stated: “Those who believe that the arrogant powers are great in their strength do not believe in the divine promises. When Imam Khomeini stated that America would not dare do anything wrong, he said this [due to his] absolute belief.”
The respected scholar went onto explain the benefit and problem of blowing the strength of the enemy out of proportion and said: “If our politicians saw the weaknesses of the arrogant powers then they would never feel intimidated. If anyone, due to their weakness in belief, sees the strength of the enemy in the number of weapons they have then they will slow the movement of this revolution down.”
Hujjat al-Islam Panahiyan concluded by reminding the gathering of the fruits of showing strength and its effects by stating:
“In the previous election, when the enemy saw the trust people had of the system, even after the sedition that took place following the elections of 2009, they were forced to come to the table.”
