Ayatollah Arafi said, “If they have even a little bit of Islamic honour, all of the Islamic governments must close down the Zionist embassies in their capitals.”
RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the December 6th announcement by President of the United States, Donald Trump, to transfer the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the holy city of Jerusalem al-Quds, and said, “This announcement is very detestable and contrary to all human, Islamic, and social standards and we have a duty to resist this very dangerous act, which is a clear insult to all Muslims and all Islamic sanctities. The entire Islamic ummah and all governments must stand against this conspiracy.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran said, “Today, Qom, which is the base of knowledge, jihad, the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Seminary, condemns this very desperate and shameful move with a loud voice and declares that it is the duty of all to stand up to this very dangerous conspiracy against Islam, the Islamic Resistance and the Islamic Revolution.”
He said, “If they have even a little bit of Islamic honour, all of the Islamic governments must close down the Zionist embassies in their capitals. We must witness the breaking of political relations of all Islamic countries with this false regime that unfortunately exists today.”
Ayatollah Arafi has noted that the economic sanctions as well as bans on relations, exchanges and trade with the Zionist regime and support for the Palestinian resistance are the duty of the Islamic countries and a new intifada must be launched and the resistance must be supported.
The member of the Supreme Council of the Seminary added that the formation of an Islamic conference and the adoption of firm and clear positions against this move are essential and added, “The Islamic countries must strongly and decisively protest in the international organizations, assemblies and in the United States Security Council. The voice of protest by the countries of the Islamic world must be loud and they must take a clear stance.”
He stressed that the American ambassadors in the countries of the Islamic world must be summoned and given a decisive reminder of why this act must not be carried out and other governments must stand against oppression and must stand against Saudi Arabia, which has broken all the borders and whose Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel al-Jubayr, has spoken of a strategic relationship with the Zionist regime.
Ayatollah Arafi added, “So much of the Islamic world has fallen into a slumber that when the first qiblah of Muslims is insulted, the traitors of the Islamic shrines and sanctities offer their hands of friendship to Israel. This phenomenon must be remedied and the people, by being present on the scene, will force the governments to carry out the aforementioned cases.”
The dean of al-Mustafa International University stressed, “The government and the people of Iran, under the direction of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], must take a decisive stance in regard to this issue, and everyone must announce their clear positions and prevent the oppression that is being imposed on the Islamic and Palestinian worlds.”
In other remarks, the Friday prayer leader of Qom referred to the anniversary of the arrival of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah to Qom and added, “The 23rd of Rabi’ al-Awwal is the anniversary of the arrival of Lady al-Ma’sumah to the holy city of Qom and this honourable lady passed away in Qom while on the way to see her honourable brother, Imam Ali al-Ridha [in Tus], and was buried in this city. The presence of Lady al-Ma’sumah in this city has had many effects and blessings.”
