Allamah Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), has announced that MWM would launch a movement to protest against the pro-Taliban and pro-takfiri policies of the PMLN-Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz Sharif) government.
“Punjab’s government too has become the patron-in-chief of the Taliban [and the takfiri] terrorists, with the chief minister Shahbaz Sharif as well as the law minister Rana Sanaullah, enjoying full backing of the federal government,” he told a well-attended press conference in Islamabad on Friday.
Allamah Aijaz Behishti, Malik Iqrar Hussain, Allamah Asghar Askari, and Fazal Abbas Naqvi of MWM were also present at the conference.
Allamah Raja Nasir stated that on one hand, the government is busy appeasing the terrorists, the ones who have destroyed Pakistan and have massacred innocent Pakistanis; while on the other hand, the witch-hunt against the Shia still carries on without any account.
“Genocide against the Shia continues unabatedly. The terrorists who massacred Shia Muslims in Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Chishtian, Gujranwala, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Chakwal and other areas have not been arrested so far,” he said.
He recalled the anti-Shia activities of the Punjab government who took several from the Shia community into illegal custody, which brands them a biased and pro-terrorist government.
“Around 76 of innocent Shias have been taken into illegal custody in Rawalpindi and they are being tortured in detention. The so-called law enforcement agencies abducted an MWM official and his companions in Joharabad, Sargodha. Our Bhakkar office was raided and party officials and owner of the house and his siblings were also kidnapped by the agencies,” he criticized.
Allamah Raja Nasir declared that while the government gives more time to the terrorists of Taliban to continue their violence, it has enacted a war on the peaceful law-abiding Shias of Pakistani. He vowed that MWM would thwart the methods of the pro-Taliban and pro-takfiri government with the power of the masses. He demanded the government to abandon its unconstitutional policy of talks with the terrorists and release all detained innocent Shias without delay. To put an end to the terrorists and their activities, he compelled the government to implement military operations.
