RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi said that the holy month of Ramadhan was the heart of the year and the heart of Ramadhan are the ‘Nights of Power,’ and said, “That which occurs during these days and nights are steps for man to reach a lofty summit. The Night of Power is beginning the year for the divine mystics and seekers.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran referred to the new situation in Iran and said, “The plan to restrain Iran and Islam and our nation is underway. This isn’t the new plot by [American president Donald] Trump but rather, it’s the codified plan of the American government. There are some very serious issues in this area, most notably the full-scale economic war to control the national currency, reduce income, increase the cost of goods and cancel business. The Americans say explicitly that ‘we have entered a tough economic war with Iran and our goal is to make life hard for the people so that they revolt against the Islamic Revolution.’”
He added, “They also want to undermine other components of the Islamic Revolution. The weakening of the components of the power of the nation and the Islamic Revolution are other plots in the hands of the enemies. The weakening of the power of the nation, the weakening of the people’s confidence in the Islamic system of government, the reduction of the regional influence of the Islamic Revolution, the reduction of Iran’s national independence and defensive power and its preventive defense industry are among the most important plans of the United States. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) didn’t seek to weaken our nuclear industry alone, but through this deal, they wanted to take all of the pillars of power from us.”
Ayatollah Arafi said, “The enemies are seeking to erode the negotiations and eliminate the components of our national power. At this time, we must increase our unity and co-operation in the light of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei]. The future of the nation of Iran is clear, as long as we move in the direction of the movement and the Supreme Leader.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution added that the Resistance Economy is something that must be at the top of the agenda, saying, “Today, the enemies are seeking to harm Iran’s economy, but from within the country, we must also try to solve these problems. With greater effort by the authorities, we can solve these problems. The people are responsible for this, but the responsibility of our officials is very heavy.”
He said, “From now on, we need to move more carefully. We must not show weakness in the negotiations. We must stand firm and we must know that we aren’t harmed because of our perseverance and courage and this nation and our valuable and brave Supreme Leader will overcome all these problems.”
Ayatollah Arafi added, “In his speech to government officials, the Supreme Leader highlighted a very important point, alongside with explaining his conditions for the continuation of the negotiations, and this is that we must end our passive stance and be active in order to document the United States and its allies who are the violators of human rights and attacks on mankind and resolutely pursue them in the world.”
His Eminence stressed that he United States has engaged in the violations of the human rights and law thousands of times, has instigated 100 wars since World War II and has oppressively vetoed the decisions of the United Nations Security Council and more and added, “A great front needs to be created in the world from a demanding position and we must advance this issue in the world.”
In conclusion, the dean of al-Mustafa International University added, “Forty years after the Islamic Revolution, we are facing a great battlefield. We must increase our unity and solidarity in the light of the Supreme Leader and Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] and not think that by surrendering to the enemies and moving away from our values that life will become calm as this isn’t the case.”
