RNA – Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri, the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Seminary, said, “November 4th represents the three major events [in revolutionary Iranian history]: the exile of the late Imam Khomeyni in 1964, Student’s Day and the seizure of the Den of Spies [American embassy in Tehran]. These three events are linked together as the United States and the arrogant powers have interfered in [all three of] them and this day has been named as the ‘National Day of Fighting the Arrogant Powers.’”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said, “The enemies didn’t support the Iranian nation before the Islamic Revolution and neither did they support the Iranian nation in the victory of the Revolution, but rather their work was sabotaged. Despite all their desires and sabotage, the proud of Iranian nation came to the fore and this revolution was victorious.”
He added, “After the revolution, there hasn’t been a day where the enemies haven’t sanctioned the Iranian nation and, one after the other, the sanctions became neutral and ineffective due to unity and patience.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stressed that in order to achieve their goals, the enemies are getting help from media outlets which are hostile to the Islamic Republic of Iran and are spending a large amount of money to meet their goals. By being vigilant and being unified, the Iranian nation has been able to neutralize the enemies.
His Eminence said that in various periods, the Iranian nation stood against a variety of threats and conspiracies with the sympathy and unity such that they properly managed and administered the Imposed War [Iran-Iraq War] for over eight years and noted, “Today, with pride and honour, even one inch of the territory of Islamic Iran is in the hands of those who started the war against us and this is a sign of the greatness of the Iranian nation in protecting the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.”
He stressed, “In regard to these sanctions, in regard to which, on November 4th, the United States will impose another wave of sanctions against the Iranian people, I must say that the United States and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution have had many sanctions against us since the beginning of the Revolution. Perhaps there are no other sanctions left.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stated, “But what’s important is that if the United States wants to impose new sanctions against the Iranian nation, with this sympathy that exists between the people, the nation and the authorities, they have decided to give a big ‘no’ to the excesses of the United States and not yield to the will of the enemies.”
In conclusion, he stated, “We hope that with God’s grace, we will overcome the crippling sanctions that the enemies have drawn up and planned against the nation of Iran, just as we overcome the previous steps with glory and pride, and we will celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution with beauty.”
