Despite freezing temperatures, over a hundred from the Shia community in the UK staged a sit-in demonstration over night outside the Pakistani Embassy in London to protest against the killing of Shia pilgrims in Balochistan’s Mastung district.
The demonstrators started on Wednesday night, vowing to continue their protests until authorities in Pakistan launch a crackdown against the culprits who are killing Shias.
Of those attending a large number of women and children were also part of the demonstration.
Meanwhile, mourners in Quetta have staged their own demonstration with 28 bodies of their martyrs kept on the roadside in a symbolic act to put pressure on the authorities to take this matter more seriously.
