Majlis Wehdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) has blocked key roads in many cities including Karachi this night with protest sit-ins to express solidarity with Quettas sit-in with bodies against Mastung Shia massacre.
In Quetta, all markets and business centres at Liaquat Bazaar, Prince Road, Jinnah Road, Shahra-e-Iqbal, Mission Road, Shawak Sha Road, Masjid Road, Hazara Town, Alamdar Road and Abdul Sattar Road remained closed throughout the day.
Many key highways and roads have been blocked by the MWM protesters with sit-ins at various places of Karachi since last night and the motorists are facing great difficulty in travelling towards their destinations amid blocked routes.
The MWM protesters have staged their sit-ins at Numaish Chowrangi, Nazimabad, Malir 15, Gulistan-e-Johar, Shahrah-e-Faisal near airport, Safari Park, and Golimar area of the metropolis.
Apart from Karachi, the MWM sit-ins are underway in many other cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Tando Allhayar, Multan, and Gilgit at this moment.
A large number of protesters are participating in those sit-ins amid freezing cold to express unity with families of Mastung pilgrims bus blast victims and to persuade the government to take quick action against the culprits.
